Carly Duvall

Carly Duvall is a bet-the-company litigator who defends large corporate businesses in high-stakes disputes. She is particularly adept at advising clients facing serious legal jeopardy such as allegations of fraud, embezzlement, and conversion. Carly recognizes the high-stress nature of such matters and partners closely with each client to help them avoid criminal penalties and civil damages so they can stay in operation.

She holistically manages multi-faceted disputes by first conducting an internal investigation then creating a strategy and plan to address all aspects of the problem–from criminal and regulatory penalties to potential civil claims and damages. Throughout her cases, Carly manages crisis communications and consistently works toward creative resolution. Carly is mindful that her cases require more than just a legal strategy and response; she works side-by-side with her clients to help them find clarity and calm so their companies can thrive again.

Carly also acts as outside general counsel to a wide range of startup and emerging growth companies. She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs grow into the next stage of their business.  In this role she advises her clients on risk management and long-term strategic legal planning in a cost-effective way.  Carly also advises technology companies on how to operate their business in a regulatory and legal climate built for brick and mortar businesses. Carly is co-chair of the Spencer Fane Startup Lab where accepted startup companies receive 3 months of free legal consultation, access to Spencer Fane resources, and mentoring.

Our mission:

IGNITE Worldwide is the answer to achieving gender equity in STEM. We work directly with teachers during the school day to provide programming that promotes STEM education and career advancement for girls and non-binary youth from historically marginalized communities. Through hands-on events that connect students with role models who live and work in their communities, students recognize new possibilities for their futures.

Our vision:

We envision a world where every girl has IGNITE Worldwide at her school. All girls deserve equal access to STEM education during their school day, so they are aware of STEM opportunities and have the social and cultural capital to secure and thrive in a STEM career. IGNITE Worldwide promotes economic equality and workforce development by cultivating a diverse pipeline of talent and supporting a sustainable future for girls and their families.

How to support IGNITE Worldwide:

If you support this mission, we encourage you to become a supporter of IGNITE Worldwide by becoming a monthly donor today. Wonder Woman in Business, Amber Spencer

Amber Spencer

Amber Spencer, Head of Customer Development at Damon Motorcycles. Amber has a diverse portfolio of professional experience including marketing, social media, software development, and entrepreneurship. Prior to Damon, Amber founded a computer software company, Epicalls, and Flare Ventures, a technology consulting firm. Amber is a motorcycle enthusiast experienced at riding various bikes, including cafe racers, dirt bikes, and cruisers. She is a member of the WMRC Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club and placed 3rd in her first-ever race. Amber enjoys motorcycle road trips across San Francisco and the Duffy Lake Loop in Canada,  but prefers the track to put a powerful bike through its paces and fine-tune her racing skills. She aims to race the Damon Hypersport in the MotoE World Cup in the near future. Amber is also an award-winning fitness competitor and advocate for health and wellness.

Damon is the disruptor leader in the high-performance two-wheel vehicle market—unveiled at CES 2020 the company achieved the best Automotive Innovation and the Digital Trends Best of Show. Damon is leading a new era of transportation which will connect riders to cities and be used for commuting, deliveries, and supply chain for the retail, food industry, and other services.  There is a fundamental shift in how we will address these markets post-covid-19.

The company has pre-sold several hundred Hypersport HS and Premier models to millennials, who make up half of the company’s preorders. ….this is a big part of Amber’s job.

The Hypersport represents the first viable solution to bring millennials into motorcycling in a meaningful way. Damon’s preorder data has presented some surprising insights: many of its customers prefer to use motorcycles as their primary transportation as a means to avoid congestion and reduce commute times or due to a lack of available parking spots in modern condos
