Claudine Francois

Claudine Francois is a Health & Wellness Coach who helps successful women entrepreneurs achieve the same level of success in their health as they do in their business so they can break the cycle and live out their lives eating the foods they love, waking up full of energy, and loving their bodies.  As a former CFO of a multi-national company, Claudine found herself in a constant state of stress, which led her into a cycle of over-indulging in what she later discovered to be harmful foods to her body, and reeling from the consequences (frequent headaches and migraines, sluggishness, inflammation, bloating, leaky gut and weight gain).  She decided to take control of her life by leaving that job and  starting her own business helping women entrepreneurs step into stress- and toxic-free lifestyles with her own practices, recipes (that taste amazing AND nourish the body) and lifestyle strategies.    She is now happy to be the successful woman entrepreneur’s guide to food bliss and enjoying life again! Her website and blog (www.ingoodcleantaste.com) provides tips and recipes for healthy living that are full of flavor to help women feel vibrant, energetic and at their best.

Wonder Woman in Business, Sharon Wong

Sharon Wong

Sharon Wong is a San Francisco native and lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two teenaged sons. She's graduated from UC Berkeley (and an alumni parent, Go Bears!) and UCLA, worked as a teacher for many years before becoming a stay at home mom. She's currently an educator, advocate, and blogger at Nut Free Wok where she shares her nut free Asian recipes and food allergy mom stories and experiences to help other families. Sharon and her advocacy have been featured on NBC Asian America, Healthline, PBS, various food allergy and asthma organizations, and local and national media.

Over 15 million people living in the United States are affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis and every 3 minutes a life threatening allergic reaction sends people to the hospital. Both of her sons have food allergies, her younger son's nut allergies are so severe that just being near nuts have caused allergic reactions without even eating them.  Sharon became very fired up about sharing food allergy awareness when one of her sons experienced food allergy discrimination and bullying at school.

People with food allergies are often told by medical experts to avoid certain foods, including Asian food. What does one do if one is Asian or loves Asian food? She started her blog Nut Free Wok: Allergy Aware Asian Fare (www.nutfreewok.com) to share her nut free Asian recipes and allergy mom experiences. She is proud to be a mission ambassador for End Allergies Together, a national non-profit that funds food allergy research.

Susan is happily married to Matthew Marchand, her husband of 29 years, and is the mother of 3 near-adult daughters. Community involvement includes the support of many businesses and events in BR, such as the Bella Bowman Foundation supporting Comfort Care for families of children with pediatric cancers, food drives supporting the Baton Rouge Food Bank, and Companion Animal Alliance pet adoption yoga classes. Yoglates has donated thousands of dollars to local charities and events over the past 11 years.

Susan’s proudest professional moments include obtaining an ASPAN certification during her time as an RN, which is a Post-Anesthesia RN certification.  She also enjoyed her time as a Surgical ICU nurse, and had many brilliant female mentors in nursing school and in her 15 year nursing career. As a business owner, her proudest professional moments include celebrating a 10 year anniversary in the current Yoglates location amidst a surplus of Boutique Fitness Studios in the Baton Rouge area.

Similarly, Susan counts her business, Yoglates, being honored by LSU as a Top 100 Fastest Growing Tiger owned business in 2018, an incredible accomplishment.

The Warrior and The Queen

Lara and Jasmine are two modern professional women who, like most of us, are fully immersed in their three-dimensional reality. Although the two never cross paths, both are pursuing their passions in the vibrant Petri dish of New York City. When they least expect it, their very way of life is challenged and their foundations shaken to the core. Metaphysical events in their lives cause them to question their entire world-view and sense of identity. They are confronted with forces and past lives that they have no choice but to examine. In the process, they discover hidden depths unknown to them.

Lara and Jasmine will never be the same again. They invite you to join them on their journey of self-discovery, as they navigate a web of royal plots and deadly battles, spanning ancient India and the medieval Europe of the Knights Templar. Although based upon a kernel of truth, their stories are nevertheless a work of fiction. As the reader, you are transported through time and space, and weave through a mosaic of colorful cultures, culinary delights, and webs of intrigue. Their stories will please all six of your senses, as you experience the vibrancy of Lara and Jasmine’s incarnations. Their tales open a window to a metaphysical and spiritual journey that is sure to empower you, as you welcome the challenge. Their stories are presented as is, with no attempt to assert or validate the accuracy of historical events and no espousal of any particular religious beliefs.

Lara and Jasmine simply want to share the unfolding effects of their metaphysical experiences with the world. The Warrior and the Queen, at heart, is an inspirational novel that offers something for every reader. It is as much literary as it is entertaining. It poetically engages the reader in his or her own exploration of what may lie beyond the three-dimensional reality of our five senses. The reader is not alone in that journey – Lara and Jasmine have the same doubts and unanswered questions in their lives. Theirs is a tale where different metaphysical and spiritual tools converge and interact magically to offer answers that all of us have access to. The Warrior and the Queen is an easy read that is best enjoyed with a cup of chai or mint tea in hand.

“The journey of a warrior is not to find meaning in life or in battle but to find his true self.” “Awaken, and once awake, awaken others.” Readers have described the book as: “inspirational…takes you to the 4th dimension…poetic…avant-garde…an easy read…healing…intriguing…enlightening.”
