Kelly Ferraro

Kelly Ferraro, founder and principal of KAF Communications, LLC, is a results-oriented corporate communications professional with over two decades of experience identifying and creating actionable communications plans in order to capitalize on a client's ever-evolving goals and strategies. She has worked across several industry verticals, which include financial services, fintech, medical technology and real estate. She has a keen understanding on how to position a client in front of the audiences that move the needle in their respective industries.

Kelly began KAF Communications, LLC in 2018, realizing that she could make more of an impact by starting her own boutique, where she could better align herself with clients as a partner and what she calls an “in-house extension.”  Her recent work includes strategic media relations, brand development and thought leadership for companies seeking to foster disruption and better solutions to age-old problems. Clients include New York City real estate developers and brokers looking to share their wins and innovative strategies, cutting-edge medical technology companies and individuals that have built businesses single-handedly and are seeking coverage about their successes. She is especially passionate about working with start-ups, given the fact that the messages can be shaped from the beginning.

Prior to her time in public relations and communications, Kelly worked for large banks and financial institutions, which include Bank of America and Guggenheim Partners. She formerly held Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses and is therefore well-versed in crafting strategies for public companies.

Wonder Woman in Business, Charlotte Smith

Charlotte Smith -Life Design Coach copy.jpg

Charlotte Smith,

CEO & Coach Extraordinaire

Charlotte Smith started her career as an employment lawyer in the UK, acting for big named clients like Hilton and Expedia. She quickly rose up the ranks in her firm, and as Head of Employment, she was recognized in a prestigious 30 Under 30 Awards for her contribution to legal innovation and was the youngest at her law firm to be offered partnership.

What should have been the pinnacle of her career, inside she wondered is this it?

She was moving from goal to goal without truly savoring success. She was overloaded and didn't feel like she was living a happy & purposeful life.

A couple of days later her husband came home from work... with an exciting job offer of his own.  An opportunity in Silicon Valley California. Within a few weeks, they relocated. This was 2014.

Charlotte initially became a partner at a Bay Area creative agency, before moving into business coaching & consulting. Charlotte now lives a happy, and purposeful life as a certified Executive Coach and Energy Leadership Master Practitioner who helps lawyers and leaders leave overload and lack of fulfillment behind, to create lives of their dreams. And no – this doesn't mean quitting your job and moving to Bali.  Being a happy and fulfilled lawyer is possible, with the right support and guidance.

Charlotte brings her cross-functional experience to her coaching practice from her 15 years of being a Lawyer, Entrepreneur and Executive Coach.

She has valuable insight in legal, operations, digital marketing and business development, but believes that for individuals and organizations to move from GOOD to GREAT it all starts with a firm foundation of a limitless mindset and attention to well-being.

Wonder Woman in Business, Sharon Wong

sharon wong nut free wok.jpg

Sharon Wong

Sharon Wong is a San Francisco native and lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two teenaged sons. She's graduated from UC Berkeley (and an alumni parent, Go Bears!) and UCLA, worked as a teacher for many years before becoming a stay at home mom. She's currently an educator, advocate, and blogger at Nut Free Wok where she shares her nut free Asian recipes and food allergy mom stories and experiences to help other families. Sharon and her advocacy have been featured on NBC Asian America, Healthline, PBS, various food allergy and asthma organizations, and local and national media.

Over 15 million people living in the United States are affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis and every 3 minutes a life threatening allergic reaction sends people to the hospital. Both of her sons have food allergies, her younger son's nut allergies are so severe that just being near nuts have caused allergic reactions without even eating them.  Sharon became very fired up about sharing food allergy awareness when one of her sons experienced food allergy discrimination and bullying at school.

People with food allergies are often told by medical experts to avoid certain foods, including Asian food. What does one do if one is Asian or loves Asian food? She started her blog Nut Free Wok: Allergy Aware Asian Fare (www.nutfreewok.com) to share her nut free Asian recipes and allergy mom experiences. She is proud to be a mission ambassador for End Allergies Together, a national non-profit that funds food allergy research.
